National and State Parks

Are you looking for a good place to take your kids for a field trip that won't break the bank, be more stressful than it's worth and be overwhelming due to crowds? Are you just looking for a place to get your kids into nature safely away from the city? Look no further than the National Park Service! The most you'll have to pay for is a small entrance fee unless you're wanting any extras the park may have. You'll be supporting a good cause AND providing a breath of fresh air for your children!

If you live in or are visiting Southern Indiana, Clifty Falls State Park needs to be on your list! It's absolutely gorgeous!

There's plenty of space to just run, play and find bugs for the kids. Pavilions for eating or having a nature talk in the great outdoors.

There are multiple spots to see the falls and get some good views of the surrounding area.

Plenty of easier trails for the little legs of toddlers and younger kids to walk without too much strain.

The nature center has a whole kid corner for them to look at with books, puppets, puzzles and more!

And if you're looking to stay in the State Park overnight there's campgrounds in the park as well as its very own Clifty Inn

Other National/State Parks in the area:

Falls of the Ohio

Spring Mill State Park

Charlestown State Park

O' Bannon Woods State Park
